Sarah Kubiak (she/her) is a graduate teaching assistant at Colorado State University. She completed her Bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she double majored in Astrophysics and Science Communication, and she was the primary author of multiple publications on exoplanets. Sarah's current research focuses on how influencing and branding are key elements in science communication on social media sites. She examines how science influencers negotiate the social constructions of science online and how that impacts the way they share science.

Sarah also has spent time working with science organizations to create science outreach content and communicate the nuances of science. She also enjoys working on community building and hopes to bring it to the science communication professional world.
