Biography

Megan Klane

(She/Her/Hers)

Award winning multimedia journalist with an emphasis on covering horse racing.

Ever the avid learner, Megan Klane is embarking upon her first year in the master’s program for Journalism and Media Communication where she hopes to conduct research on either the horse racing industry or on the RMS Titanic. Her background as an early career journalist includes personally interviewing Donna Brothers, the on-track racing analyst for NBC Sports; Ron Flatter, the managing editor of Horse Racing Nation; and Dean Littleton, the senior vice president of Scripps Local Media. Additionally, her skills as a videographer led Megan to win three awards from the Broadcast Education Association and publish mini documentaries on her YouTube channel. Megan holds two bachelor’s degrees from Colorado State University in Journalism and Media Communication alongside Theater and Performance.
