Tanzid Basunia (He/His/Him): Championing the Crossroads of Journalism, Public Relations, and Academia for Meaningful Change

Tanzid Basunia is a national award-winning journalist from Bangladesh and has had a distinguished career in journalism and public relations. He completed his graduation in Journalism and Media Studies from Bangladesh.

Before joining the M.S. program at CSU, Basunia served as the Head of Communications and Public Relations at FBCCI, Bangladesh's largest and apex trade organization. He led a team of public relations professionals, forged key media relationships, and collaborated with international Media outlets like CNN.

Basunia has received several honors and accolades throughout his academic and professional career. He earned the prestigious National Journalism Fellowship Award in 2020.

He founded the Pathashala24, an education-based web portal for Bangladeshi students. He served the Jahangirnagar University Press Club as its President.
