Description
We're looking for a curious, detail-oriented college student to help grow our events calendar and social media presence. This is a great fit for students studying journalism, communications, marketing, arts administration, or digital media.
Responsibilities
Event Research & Curation (≈50%)
• Research upcoming arts and culture events from venue websites, organization
calendars, and community boards across Northern Colorado
• Identify new organizations, venues, and artists to feature
• Verify event details (dates, times, ticket links, descriptions) for accuracy
• Flag "Worth the Drive" events happening in the broader region
Data Entry & Content Management (≈25%)
• Enter event listings into our content management system
• Upload and optimize event images
• Check that events are categorized correctly (Music, Theater, Visual Arts, Film,
Dance, Literary, Hands-on Learning, Kids & Family)
• Help maintain accurate venue and organization records
Social Media (≈25%)
• Draft Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok posts highlighting upcoming events, artist
spotlights, and community stories
• Create simple graphics using provided brand templates and assets
• Help plan a weekly posting cadence
• Monitor engagement and suggest content ideas based on what resonates
Required Qualifications
You'll Be Great at This If You...
• Are genuinely interested in arts, culture, and the Northern Colorado creative
community
• Have strong attention to detail and can keep information organized
• Are comfortable with web-based tools and learning new platforms quickly
• Have basic familiarity with Instagram and visual content creation (Canva, etc.)
• Can work independently and manage your own time
Preferred Qualifications
Bonus (Not Required)
• Photography or graphic design skills
• Experience with content management systems
• Knowledge of the Fort Collins / NoCo arts scene
• Interest in editorial writing (potential to contribute articles)
