Frequently Asked Questions
Who’s my adviser?
Ella Bowers is the Academic Success Coordinator for Journalism and Media Communication. To make an appointment with her, call the CLA Advising Office at (970) 491-3117.
How do I get an override into a JTC course?
Overrides are given on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the course instructor. To request an override, contact the department's Undergraduate Coordinator, Dakota Cotner.
How can I get my advising code?
You are required to meet with your adviser before registering for the upcoming semester. Check your registration access time on RAMweb and make an advising appointment before that time. Keep in mind that delay may decrease your course choices—be sure to meet with your adviser early so you can register as soon as possible.
Does the department have open computer labs?

Food and drinks are not allowed in the labs at any time.
Where can I drop something off for a JMC faculty member or course instructor?
Department mailboxes are located in Clark C206. If the door is locked, you may bring it to the JMC main office in Clark C244 during business hours.
