Ashley Moore is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. She received her B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Animal Science anda certificate in African Studies from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. Subsequently, she received her M.A. in Journalism from the The Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia where she specialized in radio broadcast. She is here at CSU pursuing her PhD in Public Communication and Technology wherein her research interests include critical examinations into the extent and various way in which cultural narratives about technology affect individual/societal perceptions regarding bionic technology and, ultimately, affect its application/adoption and vice versa. Upon graduation, she aspires to secure a professional university academic teaching position in the fields of communication and media ecology.
